Maserati Granturismo

Maserati Granturismo

Let’s face it most of us love cars.  Notice I said love not like.  Cars have something that other machines don’t usually have, character.  This is no more apparent than when you get someone talking about their first car, love them or hate them they still had some what of an emotional bond to it.  I would consider my self lucky with my first car, a 64 1/2 Mustang.  I loved that car.  It was my dad’s car and I was fortunate enough to inherit it.  My dad and I worked on that car all of the time, from oil changes to transmission rebuilds and I enjoyed it all because I knew that it would pay off out on the open road.  I washed and waxed the car inside and out every weekend so that it would always look it’s best, the black vinyl interior always shined and glistened, the chrome was bright and shiny, and the white paint just gleamed. I knew that car inside and out, we had a lot of fun together.  Sure I have had cars since my first, that on paper were better, my Mustang didn’t have A/C didn’t have seat belts in the rear, only had the stock AM radio, got 15 MPG maybe, and of course had power nothing but it didn’t matter.  The fact that the Ford Mustang is already an American icon didn’t hurt either.  That car was a beauty, and it was my first.  For your viewing pleasure I added some photographs below of some other folks pride and joys.
